Resolutions protesting employment of Chinese laborers by the Oregon Iron Company : [Oswego, Or.], [ca. 1870?].

Manuscript resolutions written by citizens of Oswego, copied in an unidentified hand. The resolutions state reasons for opposition to the introduction of Chinese workers at Oswego by the Oregon Iron Company, briefly asserting that Chinese labor has proven damaging to other communities, is unprofitable to employers, and is unsupported by the Company's customers. Included are names of forty-four signers of the resolutions, including J.W. Cain, chairman, H.H. [McCord?], secretary.
